H.E. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will join the IOE Centenary Summit next week. Register to take part in this unique gathering of IOE leadership, our Members in 150 countries and H.E. UN Secretary-General António Guterres on 2 September from 15:00-17:00 (CET). Together, participants will determine the path for the future of business action at the United Nations and the entire multilateral system.

As we meet under the shadow of a global health pandemic, massive economic disruption and uncertain political headwinds, the dialogue will begin with the IOE community gathering to debate and formally adopt the IOE Centenary Manifesto, which will guide the organisation into its next centenary.

Mr. Guterres will follow up with an address outlining his views on the role and influence of employers within the United Nations system, and his broader assessment of relations between business and the UN on the occasion of its 75th anniversary.

Leaders from different employer and business organisations will join him and examine why the multilateral system is important for business, which challenges from business’ view does the UN need to improve response to, and how can we support  the UN – in New York and Geneva, but also at country level.

It is a unique opportunity and the success will depend on a b presence of IOE members. Be part of this international business conversation to bring the global voice of business to the UN Secretary-General.
