Vladimir Putin: SCO membership for India and Pakistan may be considered at Ufa summit

The Meeting of the SCO Heads of State Council, to be held on July 9-10, will focus on raising the statuses of India and Pakistan in the organisation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"The organisation is very attractive now, so other countries are seeking to join it. At the Summit in Ufa, we are likely to decide on admitting India and Pakistan in this organisation," he said.
