On December 3, in Moscow, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics hosted the 4th SCO Moscow Business Dialogue International Business Forum as part of preparations for the upcoming SCO Council of Heads of Government Meeting. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, Russian and foreign business and research communities, and the heads of the SCO management bodies.
The forum focused mainly on economic cooperation between the SCO member states and international integration within the Eurasian Economic Union, the Silk Road Economic Belt and BRICS. The forum included four sections: the first one was devoted to financial and banking activities, the second one, to transport and logistics, the third, to the establishment of the SCO Energy Club, and the fourth, to infrastructure projects and investment in construction.
The 4th SCO Business Dialogue resulted in an appeal to the SCO heads of government. The document's main topics are the strengthening of cooperation between the EAEU and the SCO, and between BRICS and the SCO, promotion of mutual investment in the SCO member states, the establishment of a system to train highly-skilled personnel, expert and analytical support for the SCO and the development of economic aspects for the SCO Development Strategy towards 2025.
The forum was organised by the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the SCO Business Council and the SCO Business Club.
