The 14th Russian Energy Forum Green Energy opened on October 21 in Ufa. The forum will feature the 20th anniversary exhibition, "Energy conservation. Electrical engineering. Cable," and the international trade fair "Power Generation in the SCO." The forum will last four days.
The first day saw the forum's opening ceremony, and the start of roundtable discussions and seminars. The participants will discuss issues of renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental protection, and will present the latest energy saving solutions. Special attention will be given to the discussion of renewable sources of energy, which will be a separate item on the agenda.
The forum's primary objectives are boosting international cooperation in energy saving and energy efficiency, expanding cooperation under the SCO, and strengthening trade, economic and industrial relations between energy enterprises, scientific and research organisations and project and educational organisations of Russia, CIS and SCO countries.
The international trade fair, "Power Generation in the SCO," showcases equipment used at power plants and thermal, nuclear and hydroelectric power substations, samples of new alternative energy sources as well as testing and calibration equipment.
