Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin held a meeting with RSPP President Alexander Shokhin discussing preliminary results of the year 2011 from the perspective of doing business in Russia as well as business-to-government interaction. According to an RSPP opinion poll, two thirds of companies estimate their results in 2011 as positive or at least 'decent', noticing in particular that a number of across-the-board reforms have been implemented in 2011 resulting in entrepreneurial climate improvement.
Mr. Shokhin invited the Prime Minister to attend the RSPP congress on February 9, 2012, scheduled to coincide with the organizations 20th anniversary.
Mr. Shokhin said:
"Prime Minister and I discussed private - public partnership mechanisms including regulatory impact assessment, participation of business associations in public debate on bills and draft laws, institutionalizing public debate platforms within the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Space. Also, I identified for the Prime Minister some spеcific proposals on fostering an attractive investment climate in Russia".
