RSPP President welcomed US Ambassador Michael McFaul to the RSPP headquarters at 17 Kotelnicheskaya naberezhnaya to talk over the business-related dimensions of Barack Obama’s visit to Russia and some practical arrangements of the Russia – US Business Dialogue (part of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2013).
Mr. Shokhin suggested that he and Mr. McFaul could work jointly on the details of a Russian business delegation to USA next autumn, “a natural development of the business contacts to be established at the top level in September”.
Mr. McFaul said he would inform RSPP as soon as the US delegation to the SPIEF has been made up and its leader appointed.
Those attending the meeting also included the Director of the RSPP Centre for Bilateral Cooperation Anatoly Drantussov and the Embassy’s Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs Stuart Dwyer.
