It was announced by President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the talks with Federal President of Austria Heinz Fischer on April 6, 2016. Russia and Austria also will work to facilitate a favourable business climate and deepen industrial and technological cooperation. The leaders of the states agreed to step up efforts to develop and launch joint science-intensive projects in transport infrastructure, aircraft manufacturing, machine-building, and agriculture.
Perspectives of a free trade area from the Atlantic to Russia’s eastern regions were also discussed during the talks.
