Washington, D.C. – RSPP and U.S. Chamber joined forces to organize a business dialogue entitled ‘Russia's Trade Policy Strategy: Regional & Global Aspirations’ to discuss Regional economic integration involving Russia, Byelorussia and Kazakhstan and Russia’s accession to the WTO – their impact on the global and Russia’s economy as well as cooperation with the major trading partners. The event featured as keynote speakers Alexei Likhachev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Chikiriev, Head of WTO Division, Department of Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Economic Development, and was followed by a panel discussion featuring Dr. Samuel Charap, Director for Russia and Eurasia, Center for American Progress, Zelijko Bogetic, Lead Economist and Country Sector Coordinator for Economic Policy for Russia, World Bank and Steve Biegun, Vice President, International Government Affairs, Ford Motor Company.
On the RSPP side, the discussion was attended by Andrey Kuznetsov, Managing Director, International Cooperation, RSPP and Anton Eropkin, Executive Secretary of the RSPP International Council for Cooperation and Investment.
