The seminar entitled ‘Efficient Healthcare Solutions in the Netherlands: Exchange of Ideas with Russia’ was held as part of the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s official visit to Russia. The seminar was officially opened by Mr. Rutte, First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov, RSPP President Alexander Shokhin and President of the Confederation of Dutch Industrialists and Employers Mr. Bernhard Wientjes.
The event was arranged by the Healthcare taskforce with the Russian - Dutch Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation. The seminar brought together state officials and CEOs from Russian and Dutch healthcare companies.
Mr. Shokhin addressed the seminar speaking on international cooperation and private/public partnership in improving healthcare. Mr. Shokhin said:
“We’ve got the ‘Health’ priority national project running in Russia today aimed at across-the-board quality improvement by means of state-of-the-art technologies and sharing in the world’s best practices. The Netherlands possesses a wide experience and numerous developments in the field, providing great opportunities for successful interaction”.
Mr. Shokhin added that RSPP and the Russian – Dutch Trade and Economic Dialogue are eager to support bilateral cooperation in healthcare by every means and mechanisms in their power. Later in the evening Mr. Shokhin will participate in a dinner reception given by President Medvedev to Russian and Dutch businessmen.
