RSPP President Alexander Shokhin held a working meeting with the business delegation of the Southern Germany headed by Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation for Baden Württemberg, Chief Executive Officer of Mangold Consulting GmbH Klaus Mangold.
In his speech Alexander Shokhin told about the current state of the Russian economy and business climate improvement. According to Alexander Shokhin, the Russian business proved its ability to work under the pressure of crisis.
As Alexander Shokhin pointed out that establishing new and improving effectiveness of existing development institutions is one of the responses to the current macroeconomic challenges. In particular this includes a program of project financing and the Industry Development Fund, where investors are able to attract credit on the most favourable conditions. Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises has started its work. A legal basis for special investment contracts is established. And this is not a full list of available benefits and incentives. Many of these tools can be used by foreign companies operating in Russia.
In conclusion Alexander Shokhin emphasized that Russia remains an open country for foreign investment and business environment is becoming better year by year which is supported by Russia’s standing in the Doing Business rating.
Alexander Shokhin invited the German colleagues to organize the bilateral Russian-German business roundtable within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) as well as to participate in the forthcoming International Council for Cooperation and Investment (ICCI) meeting on December 11, 2015.
At the end of the meeting Alexander Shokhin responded to the questions of the German business representatives on medicine, pharmaceuticals industry, personnel training and others.
