RSPP President Alexander Shokhin`s meeting with TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu
RSPP President Alexander Shokhin held a number of bilateral meetings with B20 partners on the sidelines of the B20 events in Brisbane. The meetings discussions covered global problems which face the business community as well as cooperation between RSPP and business associations of partner countries. Thoughtful discussions were held with the business leaders from BRICS countries, including Director General of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Chandrajit Banerjee, President of the Business Leadership South Africa Saki Macozoma and Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Yu Ping. A bilateral meeting with KEIDANREN Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Toshiba Corporation Norio Sasaki was also organised.
The dialogue with Turkish colleagues – next B20 Turkey Chair and TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Turkey B20 Sherpa Sarp Kalkan was focused on the B20 2015 priorities. The parties` approaches to the B20 process largely coincide. Cooperation is expected to be substantive and close.
Turkey B20 presidency`s priorities will be announced at the B20 Kick-Off Meeting to be held on December 15, 2014 in Istanbul. Turkey colleagues hope that the RSPP will be presented at this meeting at high level.
Contacts with WTO Director-General: Roberto Azevêdo, ICC Chairman Harold McGraw III and BIAC Chairman Phil O’Reilly continued in Brisbane.
During the bilateral meetings Alexander Shokhin was accompanied by Russian B20 Sherpa, Deputy Chairman of the RSPP Committee for International Cooperation Oleg Preksin.
