RSPP President Alexander Shokhin held a meeting with Her Majesty's Ambassador to Russia Dr Laurie Bristow

At the meeting Alexander Shokhin and Laurie Bristow discussed the state of play in the global economy, perspectives of Russian – UK economic cooperation as well as priorities of Russia`s economic development. Alexander Shokhin emphasized the importance of Russian-UK engagement within the multilateral fora, such as G20.

One of the themes of the discussion were business events of mutual interest to the UK and Russia in 2016, in particular a bilateral Russia-UK business roundtable organized by the RSPP jointly with Russo-British Chamber of Commerce within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 16–18, 2016.

Alexander Shokhin congratulated Dr Laurie Bristow with his recent appointment as Her Majesty's Ambassador to Russia and invited to participate in XVII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development to be held by the National Research University Higher School of Economics on April 19–22, 2016.
