RSPP President Alexander Shokhin attended the DER-Dialog Advisory Board meeting in Lech, Austria held on April 2-3, 2017.
The events included a meeting with the President of the European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer as well as sessions on boosting economic growth in Russia and EU countries through structural reforms and the future relationships between Russia and the West under the new US – Administration.
According to Alexander Shokhin, structural reforms remain a priority for Russia and EU shared growth objectives. Back in the 2014 the G20 members set an ambitious goal to lift the G20’s GDP by at least an additional two per cent by 2018. Both Russia and the EU committed to undertake a wide range of structural reforms in their Comprehensive Structural Reforms Strategies adopted in Brisbane in 2014. A lot has been done and more needs to be done the avoid risk of being caught in a low-growth trap with rising inequality.
„DER Dialog Europe-Russia“, a Vienna based think tank established in 2011, pursues the declared mission of contributing to a trustful relationship between the European Union and the Russian Federation, to the awareness of a wider Europe and to the modernization of Russia.
