RSPP President Alexander Shokhin addressed the opening session of the RussiaTALK Investment Forum organized by the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC) in Moscow on October 21, 2015.

In his welcome statement Alexander Shokhin emphasized that in the context of decreasing dynamics of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and the UK the business dialogue is crucially important, thus RSPP and RBCC pool their efforts to enhance confidence, remove barriers for mutual investment and promote British companies` production localization in Russia.

Alexander Shokhin noted a number of examples of the British companies` successful work in Russia and expressed hope that this number will increase. RSPP President also noted a fruitful entry into the British market of several medium Russian companies, particularly operating in software and online-technologies spheres.

The participants of the Forum discussed the Russia – UK economic cooperation prospects, investments in Russian business, as well as federal and regional support to the SME entrepreneurship and export.

The event was attended by high-level representatives of governmental authorities and business, consultants and experts, in particular His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent (RBCC Patron), President of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin, Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Andrey Nikitin, Chairman of the Board of the RBCC Roger Munnings.
