RSPP Managing Director for International Cooperation Andrei Kuznetsov held a meeting at RSPP HQ with the Ambassador of Belgium to Russia Mr. Guy Trouveroy and chiefs of the economic department of the embassy.
The discussion focused on strengthening business ties between Russia and Belgium and lines of cooperation for 2011. According to the Ambassador, 2010 has been a year of large-scale joint projects and investment by Belgian companies in Russian economy, with the launching of Solvay in the Nizhny Novgorod region towering above all others. At the same time Russian companies such as Lukoil, Vympelcom, Mechel, NLMK etc. have been actively entering Belgian markets amid actively developing cooperation in new technological spheres.
Mr. Kuznetsov stressed that Russian regions possess a wide investment potential as has been shown by the ‘Investment Climate in Russian Regions’ conference held by RSPP on December 3.
