Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan has hosted an online conference "The SCO and BRICS on Forming a Multi-Polar System for Modern International Relations". Experts from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan took part in the conference.
"In the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, in which practical action prevails over politics, we are all equal partners united by our common strategic interests. Close interregional dialogue among the SCO member states is capable of promoting comprehensive partnership, producing a synergy effect and giving a new impetus to our countries' development," Rustem Khamitov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, said in his welcoming address at the conference.
Participants in the forum presented reports on the prospects of globalisation and post-globalisation and the cosmoplanetary future, as well as cooperation between the SCO and BRICS and how to make it more effective. The development of Russian regions in light of the SCO-BRICS cooperation received special attention.
An electronic bulletin of scientific articles will be prepared, based on the reports made during the conference.
