Netherlands' ILO Director General Prospect visits RSPP

Dutch politician and a candidate for ILO Directorship Ad Melkert, met with RSPP Director for labour relations Marina Moskvina.  

During the meeting Mr. Melkert identified his principal spheres he would be putting his efforts into if he were elected ILO Director General, his priorities being a shakeup of the ILO Administrative Body "to enable it to keep up with modern realia and maintain efficient cooperation between ILO and G20"; decent labour conditions; social security against shadow economy.

RSPP Director for labour issues Marina Moskvina identified chief priorities of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs which acts as a mouthpiece for Russian employers on international issues and its expectations from a future ILO Director General, some of them being benefits for sustainable; support for small- and medium enterprises acting as a powerhouse of job creation; adherence to the principal commercial and industrial freedoms to boost investing; expanding tripartite mechanisms to secure social partnership development.

Mr Melkert was accompanied by Temporary Charge d'Affaires of the Dutch Embassy in Moscow Onno Elderenbosch.
