Members of RSPP Agribusiness Commission take part in trade mission of Russian agribusiness exporters in Serbia

A trade mission of Russian companies exporting agricultural products to the Republic of Serbia was held in Belgrade from 30 June to 1 July 2021. Around twenty of Russia’s largest agribusiness companies and industry unions took part in the event, which was organised by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, the "Agroexport" Federal Centre, as well as trade delegations of the two countries.

During the trade mission, over 200 meetings between Russian and Serbian companies were held, and culinary master classes and visits to Serbia's largest agribusiness enterprises were organised.

The event was attended by members and experts of the RSPP Agribusiness Commission:

  • Artem Belov, General Director of the National Union of Milk Producers;
  • Sergey Lakhtyukhov, General Director of the National Union of Poultry Farmers;
  • Ekaterina Luchkina, Executive Director of the National Union of Meat Processors;
  • and Andrey Terekhin, Head of the Department for Relations with Trade Unions and State Institutions at "Cherkizovo" Trading House.

During a working visit to Serbia, the Minister of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, visited an exhibition of domestic food products, and got acquainted with a range of major Russian export companies, including meat, oil and fat, confectionary products, beverages and other products.

According to the minister, the trade mission provides networking opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs, and the agreements reached will provide a huge boost to cooperation between the two countries’ business communities.
