MEDEF Vice President Visits RSPP

At a meeting at the RSPP headquarters (Kotel’nicheskaya nab., 17), RSPP Managing Director Andrey Kuznetsov, Vice President of MEDEF Thierry Courtaigne and Deputy Director of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce Nicolas Ducret discussed the results of B20 Summit in France.

Mr. Courtainge, as a former host of the Summit, praised the contribution made by the Russian Union and companies to the processing of the Summit resulting documents. The complex document that has finally emerged comprises the views of international business circles on a wide range of issues. Since B20 2013 will take place in Russia, MEDEF will readily provide support with the arrangement of such a multi-format event.

MEDEF Vice President paid tribute to the considerable job that is being done by the Strategic Economic Council of Russian & French Enterprises established by an agreement signed in 2010 during the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Two other issues were

1. The Russian – French Centre for Energy Efficiency, a vehicle of mutual support to be lent to such investment projects aimed at modernization and adoption of new technologies.

2. Future participation of RSPP and MEDEF in the work of the Russian – French Council for Economy, Finance, Industry and Trade (SEFIC), a body of considerable influence. Many companies regard SEFIC as reference when setting out their strategy and business plans.
