India is ready to become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation whenever the opportunity is available, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation, Pundi Srinivasan Raghavan, told RIA Novosti. He noted that India has been an SCO observer state for the last ten years and has made significant contributions to the organisation's activities.
The ambassador expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for its support in this matter. "We value Moscow's support in our efforts to become a full member of the SCO and its willingness to do all it can to this end," he said.
