The Board of the RSPP International Council for Cooperation and Investment has convened today with Alexander Shokhin in the chair. The Board members (AmCham President Andrew Somers, AEB Board Chairman Reiner Hartmann, Head of the Japanese Business Club Masao Fujita, Russian-French Chamber of Commerce CEO Pavel Shinsky, Head of the Canadian Business association Nathan Hunt and Ernst&Young Managing Partner Alexei Ivlev) summarized the results of the Council work in 2010. As can be seen from the ICCI Annual Report 2010 (see application), the year 2010 saw a lot of good job in such areas as the establishment of the Customs Union, the Unified Economic Space, analyzing the investment appeal of a number of Russian regions and some other issues whose importance for nonresidents cannot be overlooked. The Board decided to extend the ICCI scope by placing on its agenda such matters as technical regulations, energy efficiency, innovative development and IPR.
The Board members acknowledged the importance of the constructive nature of the cooperation with the government authorities which the Council had developed since its establishment in 2008.
