The G20 Leaders met in Brisbane to sum up the results of the Australian G20 presidency which concludes on November 30, 2014. On December 1, 2014 the G20 presidency will pass to Turkey.
One of the key Australian G20 presidency`s achievements was adoption by the G20 members their growth strategies and employment plans which were presented at the Brisbane Summit.
The Summit concluded with the joint communiqué in which the G20 Leaders committed to work in partnership to lift growth, boost economic resilience and strengthen global institutions.
The G20 members` actions to boost growth and create quality jobs were set out in the Brisbane Action Plan. The Leaders committed to monitor the implementation of their commitments and actual progress towards their growth ambition.
As Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized in his press statement, one of the key summit`s decisions was an establishment of the infrastructure hub. Among other important issues, the Russian President noted unemployment and labour market, international energy institutions reform, as well as financial regulation and tax system.
Traditional BRICS heads of state and government meeting was held back-to-back to the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
