On July 18-19, 2013 the G20 Labour Ministers Meeting was held in Moscow. The ministerial meeting was preceded by the G20 Labour Ministers Meeting with Social Partners, during which the representatives of business community and labour unions shared their vision of the priorities for employment and labour market development policies.
The agenda of the G20 Labour Ministers Meeting entitled "Job Creation for Life and Development" was focused on the issues of job creation, labour activation, equality and social inclusion. Ministers discussed possible ways to formulate and implement integrated employment policy mixes aimed at addressing simultaneously both the economic and the social needs of the G20 countries' population. Creating an enabling environment and elaborating special supportive policies for job creation, possible measures to strengthen labour demand, the role of investments in human capital, targeted labour activation policies for the vulnerable groups of population, skills development programs, as well as the role of social protection in general - these are the topics that were considered by the G20 Labour Ministers, among others.
The main outcomes of the meeting are reflected in the G20 Labour Ministers' Declaration.
