EAEU member countries elaborate a dialogue mechanism of engagement with China

As Grigoriy Karasin, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation pointed out in his interview to the newspaper “Kazakhstan Pravda”, the Eurasian Economic Union member countries agreed to collaborate in implementing the Chinese initiative One Belt, One Road in parallel to holding talks on signing an agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU and China. The Eurasian Economic Commission​​ prepares a roadmap of engagement with Chinese partners, including integration projects which are more profitable if implemented in the EAEU – China format using the common customs territory of the Union and its transport and logistics potential. The EAEU – China dialogue mechanism will be also determined in the roadmap.
