During talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping a package of important documents was signed aimed inter alia at coordinating development of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Silk Road Economic Belt

Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on September 3, 2015. Following the meeting, a package of documents was signed aimed inter alia at coordinating development of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Silk Road Economic Belt, including an intergovernmental agreement on construction of a cableway across the Amur River, a memorandum of understanding on inter-regional and cross-border cooperation, protocols between the two countries’ customs services.

A number of agreements between Russian and Chinese companies signed during the Russian President’s working visit to China will also contribute to coordinating development of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Silk Road Economic Belt, in particular those on investment in priority sectors of the Russian and Chinese economies, and cooperation in the development of data processing centres and cloud services.
