Dr. Alexander Shokhin: SMEs support is one of key priorities of the G20 agenda

RSPP President Alexander Shokhin participated in the B20 events under the German presidency on 22 March 2017.

The events including Joint Workshop on Digitalisation and Roundtable on Financing SMEs in Global Value Chains; Wokshop of the B20 Health Initiative; B20 Taskforce Meetings; as well as High-Level B20 Germany Plenary were held in the headquarters of key G20 partner institution - Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. The Sherpas of a number of G20 member countries attended the Taskforce Meetings.

Alexander Shokhin addressed the Roundtable on Financing SMEs, organized in cooperation with the Business at OECD (BIAC). He shared with the participants insights on the G20 progress so far and outlined key priorities for future cooperation. He emphasized that as an important driver of economic growth the SMEs should reap the benefits of the digital transformations.

According to Alexander Shokhin, the G20 should retain the focus on SMEs, deliver on the commitments made and put the SMEs at the core of its digital transformation agenda.
