Dmitry Mazepin announced as new Uralchem General Director

Uralchem has announced a management reshuffle. On 12 May 2021, Dmitry Mazepin took up the post of General Director of Uralchem JSC.

Dmitry Mazepin, General Director of Uralchem JSC:

“The development of Uralkali and Uralchem has entered a fundamentally new phase, promising new synergies, reduced operational costs and streamlined management.  Today, in a globally competitive environment, having fertiliser plants is not enough to maintain a competitive advantage. To keep ahead of the competition, we need to create a range of services that meet and anticipate customers’ needs. We also face serious climate challenges: our companies will have to undergo significant changes to reduce the carbon footprint of both manufactured products and the use of fertilisers in agriculture. And I am ready to take on these challenges.  Our traditional business is being modernised, and I would like to take charge of these changes to ensure an effective strategy for the long-term growth of Uralchem and Uralkali. By returning to take direct control of the entire chain of operations, I will be able to pool our efforts quickly and effectively to promote Russian fertilisers on the world stage, and also create a convenient platform for providing a full range of agricultural and climate-neutral services in the Russian market”.

Dmitry Konyaev, previously Deputy Chairman of Uralchem's Board of Directors, has now been appointed as its Chairman.
