Current BIAC work priorities, with an outlook on 2015, is released

According to a new paper, Business and Industry Advisory Committee`s to the OECD (BIAC) work in 2015 will cover such priority areas as: promoting inclusive growth; improving investment environment for growth and employment; supporting to OECD Project on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS); contributing to the OECD’s G20-focused work on financial markets; promoting OECD work to empower SMEs and allow them to contribute to growth and employment targets; contributing to new OECD projects in health sphere in particular to address the costly effects of chronic diseases.

BIAC in collaboration with the UN institutions will participate in developing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which should replace the Millennium Development Goals in 2015. BIAC call for the SDGs to put greater emphasis on the fundamental economic and institutional conditions indispensable for growth and development, drawing upon OECD data and analysis as needed.

Also BIAC will contribute to the OECD key events, including Ministerial meeting on science, technology, and innovation in 2015 in Seoul, Korea and Ministerial conference on the Digital Economy in 2016 in Cancun, Mexico.
