The Kingdom of Cambodia has submitted an application for SCO dialogue partner status, said Bakhtier Khakimov, Russia's Special Presidential Envoy to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
"The attractiveness of the SCO can be judged by the fact that 12 or 13 countries have filed applications to join the organisation in one form or another. One of the latest applications was filed by Cambodia, which wants to become an SCO dialogue partner," Khakimov said.
Bakhtier Khakimov also said that Syria has applied for SCO observer status.
