RSPP President Alexander Shokhin and Vice President Alexander Murychev met with the Austrian Embassador Margot Klestil-Löffler at the RSPP headquarters at 17, Kotel’nicheskaya nab. to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two nations and various particulars of the RSPP B8 presidency in 2014. Mention was made of Austrian investments in the Sochi Olympics, currency market fluctuations, Russia’s bank system and the ruble’s recent downward trend.
During the conversation, Alexander Shokhin officially invited Ms. Klestil-Löffler to the Russian Business Week 2014, a major RSPP-run annual event and a traditional outlet for efficient interaction between business and state. He also invited her to attend the B8 Summit in St Petersburg on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum. Ms. Klestil-Löffler, in turn, invited RSPP executives to a meeting with the leadership of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in Vienna.
