BIAC Development Task Force meeting was held on 31 March 2015 in Paris

BIAC Development Task Force meeting was held on 31 March 2015 in Paris. The participants of the meeting discussed the Post-2015 Development Agenda, financing development and the OECD role, public-private dialogue for development, the OECD Development Cooperation Report 2016, the enabling environment for development, and the African Economic Outlook 2015.

The participants agreed the following decisions:

  • BIAC members are invited to share relevant documents with the BIAC Secretariat in the context of the Post-2015 development agenda.
  • BIAC members interested in engaging more closely with the OECD in the preparation of an indicator on the quality of public-private dialogue in developing countries should contact the BIAC Secretariat. 
  • The OECD Secretariat shall prepare a short concept note and template for submissions to the Development Cooperation Report 2016, that will be circulated to BIAC members in due course. 
  • BIAC members will be informed once the update of the OECD Policy Framework for Investment (PFI) is finalized, and will then be encouraged to promote the updated PFI in their networks around the world. 
  • The BIAC Secretariat will circulate information about the African Economic Outlook to members.
  • BIAC will circulate the next Draft Outcome Document on Financing for Development to its members for comments.
