RSPP President Alexander Shokhin and the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Russian Federation H.E. Carlos D. Sorreta presented the special issue of the bulletin “Asia-Pacific News Brief” (in English, in Russian) prepared by the National Coordination Center for Developing Economic Cooperation with the Countries of Asia-Pacific Region (NCC APR) for the APEC leaders week on November 9, 2015. During the presentation Dr. Alexander Shokhin told about the Russian business activities in the Asia-Pacific region and business priorities in the APEC and the Asia-Pacific region, Mr. Carlos D. Sorreta - about the Philippine APEC presidency, in particular engagement with business.
Dr. Alexander Shokhin and Mr. Carlos D. Sorreta exchanged views on Russia and Philippines` vision on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), possibilities of free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and ASEAN as well as continuity of Philippine presidencies in APEC in 2015 and ASEAN in 2017, in particular on human capital development.
“Asia-Pacific News Brief” is targeted at business representatives interested in cooperation with the Asia-Pacific countries. The bulletin is a unique example of the comprehensive overview of the multilateral cooperation formats in the Asia-Pacific region promising for the Russian business.
