2020 reports of PJSC Severstal and PJSC Rosseti receive public endorsement of RSPP Council on Non-financial Reporting

A meeting was held of the RSPP Council on Non-financial Reporting via video conference, during which the 2020 sustainable development report of PJSC Severstal, and the 2020 social responsibility and corporate sustainable development report of PJSC Rosseti received the public endorsement of the council.

The report of PJSC Severstal sets out the company's responsible business practices, its strategy, goals and key performance results in the context of the company's strategy and UN Sustainable Development Goals, describes the impact of its production activities on the economy, society and the environment, as well as stakeholder engagement on a wide range of issues. The Report was prepared using GRI Standards, the GRI Mining and Metals Sector Supplement, and SASB Standards, which allow companies to compare their performance with peers.

Greenhouse gas emissions for 2019 and 2020 have been verified by an external independent auditor.  PJSC Severstal's 2020 report is the company’s twelfth corporate non-financial report. This demonstrates the consistent development of public reporting, and the advances being made towards greater information transparency.

The PJSC Rosseti report sets out the company's responsible business practices, presented in the context of sustainable development, the strategy, scope and results of the Company's business, plans to create innovative services and products in order to ensure the quality, safety and reliability of the power grid complex. The report also included key performance indicators for the economic, environmental and social aspects of the business.

The report was prepared using the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, which allow companies to compare their performance with peers.

The company’s priorities for action and objectives are presented in relation to SDGs-2030 [2030 sustainable development goals]. The report is the company’s eleventh non-financial report, which demonstrates its commitment to the principles of transparency and openness.

Detailed opinions of the RSPP Public Endorsement Council were sent to PJSC Severstal and PJSC Rosseti, which may publish them without amendment and use them both for corporate purposes and for the purposes of stakeholder engagement.

Companies that have received public endorsement receive a Certificate from the RSPP.
