Russian Railways and Transmashholding agree on mutual support for activities in international markets

Oleg Belozerov, General Director and Chairman of the Executive Board of Russian Railways, and Andrey Bokarev, President of Transmashholding JSC, have signed a memorandum on mutual support for activities in international markets. The document was signed on 3 June within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The purpose of the memorandum is to help coordinate activities and competencies to ensure synergy and increase business opportunities abroad.

The parties intend to look at opportunities for putting together joint proposals for foreign customers in areas such as engineering and construction of railway infrastructure, including signalling and communication systems, the supply, modernisation and maintenance of rolling stock, and the management and operation of railway systems.

CIS countries, Central and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Central and Southern Europe, and Latin America are seen as promising regions for cooperation.
