On 8 April 2021, a meeting of the Digital Economy and Innovations Subcommittee of the RSPP International Cooperation Committee was held regarding the "Export of Russian Information Technologies and Artificial Intelligence".

During the meeting there was discussion of the need to support demand for software and software implementation abroad in order to stimulate exports, and also on establishing a set of measures to support the export of Russian IT technologies and services, which would then be sent to the federal executive authorities for further development.

Liana Meliksetyan, Commercial Director for International Business at NtechLab, noted that the main barrier to the effective export of IT products was the lack of a consolidated platform for representing Russian IT companies.

Ilya Bychkov, Director for IT Export Support at Russian Export Centre JSC, gave a presentation on establishing a single-window system, which simplifies document flow and converts all services for IT exporters into electronic format.

Meeting participants shared their experiences, and also outlined the need to provide state financial support to companies that are opening foreign representative offices for the purpose of scaling up export activities, as well as the need for enhanced training to develop IT sector export performance.

Following this meeting, a decision was taken to add the proposals put forward by participants to the draft submission on the development of Russian IT exports, and to finalise these initiatives together with the relevant federal executive authorities and subcommittee members in order to establish the RSPP's official position on this matter (as agreed with the relevant RSPP Committees and Commissions), and to forward this to the Government of the Russian Federation.
